Dishwasher at Camp

Thinking about ripping out the kitchen cabinets at camp and putting in a standard size dishwasher or an apartment size.

I drain the water out of the lines every time we are up during the winter. Question: Are all of the lines on a dishwasher gravity fed or would I need to make some special provisions to it so I can blow it out so it doesn't freeze ??? Never fooled around with a dishwasher to know how the plumbing lines run

Re: Dishwasher at Camp

They are not gravity fed. They have at least one pump on the drain. Possibly one on the water side to boost pressure. You would need to blow out both the water and drain lines and hope you get it all out of the lines, pump(s),spray heads etc. I'm a plumber and wouldn't put one in my camp.

NOTE TO VEGETARIANS: My food poops on your food! Enjoy your salad!!!
