Dishwasher

I was wondering if a dishwasher in camp would be a good idea. My concerns would be when we leave camp we shut everything down & any water in the lines or inside the dishwasher could lead to problems.

Re: Dishwasher

The dishwaashing crew and cleanup after dinner helps create some of the camp atmosphere.......

Re: Dishwasher

Paper plates and the fire pit is how we do dishes. We don't have water.

Re: Dishwasher

We usually don't have any problems. Anybody under 16 years of age in camp does dishes. At other time we take turns, with one exception. You shoot at game and miss, you do dishes. Never believed in cutting off shirt tails.

Re: Dishwasher

No running water for us. Mostly paper plates and eating out. My dad does all the dishes that we do dirty.

Arggghh! Next you'll have a microwave, A/C, TV, internet and a phone. Be careful!

Oops, I already have all that stuff, but draw the line at a dishwasher. That's why I sometimes take my son along, so he can cook and wash dishes, insteada me.

Re: Dishwasher

Have one in camp, no problems. Just need to remember during cold season to drain the line before leaving camp to head home. We leave ours disconnected when leaving, so that's on the list upon arrival-reconnect before you turn on the water.

Re: Dishwasher

I'll stick with my old dishwasher his name is Bob and a little hard to get started some time but he gets the job done. It's been running fo over 60 years now and still going strong.
