Dish question

I have dish at home and my cabin paying two separate bills.Seems like over paying. Can I take a box from home and plug the dish cable into that box? Problem is if I cancel my bill at the cabin do they turn the box of there or the cable signal from the dish? And would they come and pick the dish itself up?
Anybody have that info?

I'm pretty sure they caught on to the box moving thing. They don't bother about the dish. I thought last week when I was up there they were advertising some thing to do exactly what you are saying but you would have to pay a fee. Check into it.

You used to be able to do that, but that was years ago. I'm not sure about now.

My friend has Direct TV. He put up a dish at his cabin and takes a box back and forth. It works for him.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

You can consolidate to one bill and your setups have to be the same to do it.

I have Dishtv. I can have it on at camp for only a small $5 fee. Its called a Snowbird account. You call them when you are heading to camp. They , "disconnect" your ability from house and "activate" your camp box. From what i heard, they do not actually disable the home one while camp one is active. I will be finding out for sure here early spring.

I have Dish Network at home and at Camp. I do not have separate bills. I leave a box at Camp. Every once and a while I have to call to get the box reauthorized at Camp... no fee and take about 10 minutes. They now have an app to do it. If I have a problem with the dish at Camp they send a tech out. No big deal.

Do you have high speed internet at camp and the hopper2 or 3 at home?

If so
