Storm reports near Hyner?

Has anyone been up to camp in the Hyner, North Bend area? I heard a bad storm ripped thru on May 26th. Power has been out on YMC since the storm. Any camps damaged?

There was a good storm up there!! I counted 5 large trees between Lock Haven and Hyner that were on wires and had to be removed by the electric company!

There were several tree's down in my driveway. One very large tree split in half in my yard and 1 hit by lighting off my back porch fell towards the creek and not the camp. We were lucky that must have been one heck of a storm. In 60 years up there never had damage like that. Normaly were pretty well protected from the storms.

Re: Storm reports near Hyner?

I was at camp last weekend when the storm went through. It was definately nasty for sure....The lower pine bottom road and 664 south of Haneyville were closed for a day because of the amount of trees down. We lost power and didn't get it back until saturday night...We are going back up this weekend to clean up all the downed trees around camp. we got lucky a big hemlock went down just missing the cabin. 10 more feet and we would have been rebuilding...
