Some storm damage in Potter

There were some bad storms that hit Potter and surrounding counties. Seen this camp near Oleana. I know some have camps in this area and hope they fared better then this one. The tree damage around this camp was nuts. Its the camp at Long Run near the bottom of Pine Hill. It took us 7 1/2 hours Thursday night to get from Manheim to Cross Fork. [img][/img]

I know exactly where that place is , heck the orange coat in the window even makes me recognize it...we are right on the top of the mountain from that one.

Thanks for the PM Roddy and thinking about me and our camp...we had a group up for memorial day, I will get their report tomorrow hopefully it will be an uneventful realxing one.

Congrats on the gobbler too...

Over in Tioga Co in Ansonia, we were without power from 6 pm Friday until noon Sunday. Blossburg in Tioga Co was hit pretty hard, from what we heard.

No hot water for showers? Now, that is roughing it, Dutch.

Nope, drove up the road for a shower at the campground. Best 50 cents I spent in a long while. LOL

Re: Some storm damage in Potter

Came thru Knoxville on the way back from camp today. It's about 10-15 miles east of us.

Lots of major damage, many large trees down, some on houses. Coupla barns destroyed or badly damanged. No elec, as many lines are down in that area and on towards the east along Rt. 49.

Pretty bad storm, but all we got up at camp, was lots of heavy rain, wind and nasty lightning Sunday night. Knoxville area really got hammered.

There was 6 electric line trucks parked in the Top's parking lot in Wellsboro this morning from Toledo Ohio. I've seen trucks from New York and W Va also. The trucks from Ohio were headed back to the Mansfield area this morning
