Camp for Rent ?

Two retired gun writers are looking for a camp where we can hunt, sit on the stoop and grumble about rifles, women, diminishing deer herds, the cost of darn near everything, and the diminishiong deer herd (We forget a LOT of things.)

Would like a small camp with indoor water and bath if possible. Would consider just about any area but like the Allegheny Nat'l Forest. One of us is a great cook, the other can wash dishes, neither of us are "boozers", but do enjoy a touch of Southern Comfort in our coffee in the evening. We would even consider a "guide service" kinda deal, but prefer to guide ourselves as we have been doing that for sixty years or so.
We appreciate any and all assistance.

Terry

My place is by the ANF and I'd be happy to share it free, if it were anywhere near completed. I dont even have a stoop.

Re: Camp for Rent ?

Thanks for your reply. I remember the first years I hunted out of our camp - before it had insulation, water, heat other than WW2 GI gelatin stuff that almost killed us with the fumes. It was really GREAT, now that I'm lookiung back on it after fifty years.

Re: Camp for Rent ?

I just had a thougth (sometimes that happens).
The state of Pennsylvania owns a whole bunch of cabins. It is a pretty well-kept secret, but a few of us know about it, so it seems to me we should share it with others. You can rent them for a very reasonable price, and I think there are a few in the Ohiopyle State Park area. This may meet your needs.

Start your search here:

For example, here is a link for some cottages that are available for renting in Ohiopyle SP.
