Re: 5/8 inch diameter ball/hitch

Had a heck of a time some years ago finding a 2" ball w/5/8" shaft for in the drawbar on my camp tractor's three point hitch, but finally found one.

Most 2" balls seem to come with at least a 3/4" shaft. I even have one with a one inch shaft, that's in one of the assorted offset Class III bars for on my truck hitch.

Best bet is a place that has a good selection of hitch parts. Think I found mine at an autoparts store?

I used an attachment from Tractor Supply called "Hitchin' Post 3-Way Hitch Plate". Bolt the hitch plate on to the tractor, attach ball to hitch plate. Hitch plate allows you to attach a typical yard cart or lawn sweeper, etc., without ever having to remove the ball.
