I've been holding off posting this until today. It's always been a dream of mine to own my own camp. Years ago I belonged to a large State Lease camp, and it really didn't work for me. I have hunted out of a smaller camp in McKean County recently, but the crew was a lot younger, and we had very little in common in the way we hunted.
After a lot of searching, scrimping, and belt tightening, we closed today on our own "camp"- and it's exactly what I have been looking for...log cabin, tin roof, adjoining SGL, and in a great part of the state...Potter County. Right now it's basically a shell with electric to it. We got a perk test and approval last week for septic, and I plan on taking a guy there that is pretty good at water witching for putting in a well.
Get ready guys, I'm gonna have a ton of questions and looking for a ton of advice.
Here are a few pics of the camp when we went to see it back in early April.
