Great camp location - estate auction

My mom and her siblings are auctioning my grandparents property at an estate auction next Monday the 13th.

2 acres +/-
good well (excellent drinking water)
good septic
double wide on full basement
2 stall garage
mower shed

I'd be glad to try to answer any questions.

If this doesnt belong here...I understand. I figured it could be a camp opportunity for someone.

I recognize that place with many years driving past.

The sleep of a laborer is sweet, while the rich man tosses and turns, worried about his possessions.

Do you have a camp in West Monterey?

Its sad to see it leave the family, but no one seems to want it. I'll probably no doubt kick myself years down the road...

I did, but no longer do because of some very unfortunate circumstances beyond my control. I grew up going up there since I was a kid. I would stay weeks at a time.

I still go up there for a few days to hunt spring gobbler for a few days but now stay in Sligo. I just can't seem to let go of all my good turkey spots up there. I won't be making in this year though-switching it up and hunting public land in Fayette County. This will be the first year in about 15 that I won't be up there for spring turkey.

I'm not sure I ever met your grandparents, but I know the neighbors down the road. A shame you guys can't find a way to hold onto that place.

Re: Great camp location - estate auction

I agree, but no one seems to want it bad enough.

My problem is I live in the area, so what would I do with it. A camp 5 minutes from my home...maybe?!?!

My mom is so fed up with her siblings having their hands out, she just wants it sold and move on at this point. I dont blame her.

It wont last long in that area. The summer river traffic will scarf it up real quick Im sure.
