Headed up to camp today in snyder county to check some stuff out. It's nice that camp is only an hour away. We are at the corner of snyder Mifflin and Union.

Re: Bald Eagle state forest

Bear got around us, one cabin just into tiaghdaton got 5 bear and 2 coyote opening day. We got none this year. Weather wasn't good for most of bear or buck season. Little turn out for us buck season. Saw alot of deer in flintlock season. That big 628 bear was just across 80 by us, not too far Lyman gap area roughly. Deer season was fun second week but only a couple of us, mostly "seasoned" guys. Had a bear go by me last friday of buck, week too late! Roads are all ice and bad yet, doubt they stocked whitedeer except Below mile run. Lots of good food laughs and reminiscing. How did all you fair?

Re: Bald Eagle state forest

Yea bout a week ago was going to cut across from R.B Winter, Road looked pretty icy, decided not to chance it. Ended up going the whole way around and up over 477 at livonia instead.

Only hunted Bald Eagle Sf couple times in archery for deer..no luck

We deer hunted down in the tuscarora SF in Mifflin county this year, as well as Bear. We got one decent buck and a couple doe. Bear was a bust, they shot a couple out the mt from us. Son saw a bear the first day of buck

Re: Bald Eagle state forest

How many have driven Paddy Mountain road from west to east at any time of the year?

I traveled it many times and saw bear while driving up the east side years ago. Not many deer back in there. Most deer spotted down around Weikert side of mountain around cabins.

Drove it about 45 years ago sometime during winter in a jeep with the bumper pushing snow most of the way.
