Eagleton/Beech Creek Mountain Road

Has anyone been up Eagleton or Beech Creek Mountain Road from Beech creek ? The first trip of the year is always a guess as to if the road is open or iced over. I have been checking WeatherStreet snow depths and it is still showing 2-4 inches. I'm good with snow, just worried the road is still not passable due to ice. Anyone that may have traveled the road in the past week or so, any guidance would be appreciated. Worst case, I'll have to go around and go up Eagleton from Lock Haven side.

Thanks for the help...

Beech Creek Mtn is icy in spots but driveable now. If you are going into eagleton forest camps the lower road is plowed to camp #14 but icy still about 10 -12" on the ground. Upper rd was not plowed I'm going out this weekend

with sufficient thrust pigs fly just fine

Thanks Hydiseka.

I'm off BCMR about a mile south of Eagleton Road. I'm ready to go but we might take two trucks in case one gets stuck. Thanks for the information.

I was up 3 weeks ago... we were able to get up Eagleton with out any problems.... different story into our driveway. I'll be headed back up Friday morning. I was told that we won't have a problem getting in...

Good luck!

Re: Eagleton/Beech Creek Mountain Road

Heading up Friday afternoon, also hoping the rain knocks down the snow/ice. That couple miles up thru the s bends on eagleton gets kinda hairy late at night with the snow and ice.

Re: Eagleton/Beech Creek Mountain Road

Just with this quick message, there is at least 4-5 of us within a few miles. Once we're all cleaned out, I hope we get a chance to meet in person and share a cold one..

Re: Eagleton/Beech Creek Mountain Road

I've been thinking of heading up as well. Haven't gotten any reliable snow/road reports. We are just on the 120 side of the eagleton development.
