Sandy Run Road or Stoney Run Road conditions?

Hello,
I plan on heading up to camp and my buddy is gonna come later that day. I was just wondering how Sandy Run or Stoney Run are as far as how much snow and ice is on them? My big concern is if he would be able to make it up in an all wheel drive suv.
Thanks!!!

Re: Sandy Run or Stoney Run conditions?

I tried quarter mile rd and big basin this weekend and they were solid ice about six inches thick. Not able to go 100 yds. Sandy run had more snow then stoney run but i wasn't on either just drove by. I'm sure they are icy. Still over a foot of hard packed snow on tops up in that area.

Re: Sandy Run or Stoney Run conditions?

Im heading up this weekend. Any news would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping this rain and temps knocked the ice down.
Thanks...

For anyone wanting to know. 80% of Stoney is good the other 20 is horrible. Boone still has 5" of solid ice and there is still a foot of snow along Boone. I did not drive Sandy, but along it and it was just as bad.
