Bradford County

A family member owns a camp and 40 acres in Bradford County that she signed a gas/mineral right lease about 5 years ago. They said they are not renewing anybodys leases. Any of you guys know anything about leases in the area. Plenty of people still want to buy her rights. This was with Chesapeak. Thanks for any info.

Re: Bradford County

Talisman is one of the players in NE Bradford. Property next door to us has a Talisman well. Now the pipeline is up and running from the well, landowner is getting his royalties. With the low cost of gas not too many are being drilled now

Re: Bradford County

Unless your family member is desparate for money right now the most common advice heard is to be patient. Selling rights is a one time deal. The current market conditions will change. New demand for gas is coming on line every day. Let that demand infrastucture ramp up and new drilling activity will resume. Most oil and gas development companies have very low acquisition budgets for 2015.
For my land, also in Bradford County, I will continue to be patient.

I miss my hunting partner

Re: Bradford County

low oil and gas prices are killing the drill so to speak. when the prices comes back up we will see more activity. I am in the SW corner of Bradford and hardly see a water truck these days. if at all possible I would avoid CHK like the plague for future leasing if they ever approach.
