Wanting to join a camp/cabin

Still looking for a camp or cabin to join. My family and I love to get away from time to time in the woods. I grew up going to a camp. I want to share that experience with my 14 yr old daughter.

We just paid $300 for a weekend getaway in a small next to nothing cabin. Its almost getting to expensive to do. On the other hand we just had a new born and I don't want to purchase one outright for the time being.

Maybe someone can help point me in the right direction? Or knows of a camp that is falling apart and the owner might lease it with the agreement of fixing it up. Its sad to see so many camps going to waste. I'm sure some of these owners would love to lease it for the yearly taxes??????????

Re: Wanting to join a camp/cabin

Most people I know would be weary to allow a stranger into their camp if it is a traditional family/friend place. I have seen a few posts in the past where paid camps are looking for members to fill an opening, but not very often.

Re: Wanting to join a camp/cabin

That is why I am posting now. There is plenty of time to get to know me.

I have to evaluate them as well. Personalities have to match.

In the past I have seen many things happen with h different hunting groups.

Everything from Fudds, too much drinking, arguing over stands, lazyness, dirty people, and those who wish to be in control of what everyone does.

Sometimes it is better to rent a room.

Miss my pop and uncle who used to go to blakeslee and a few other spots years ago.... God parent had nine nephews.... What a bunch hahahaa

Hey if no camo I rent a room or take a trip...

Just putting out feelers...
