Re: camp beverage

I like the simple things in life: 30/06, brunettes, Beagles, Chevy trucks, and Black Jack in branch-water (no ice and not necessarily in that order).

Good night Chesty, wherever you are......

Re: camp beverage

Im a Straub American Lager, considering that it is brewed less than 50 miles from my home.. as a camp we enjoy a special whiskey sour... made with ice, half a container of frozen lemonade concentrate, an egg, whiskey, and apricot brandy, all blended together.. very tasty

Re: camp beverage

I think it cool to taste the stuff that comes to deer camp...only happens once a year...are camp has dwindled due to deaths etc....it is sad...i grew up with this and now it is so different....i loved coming back after the first day and everyone having a glass of homemade wine or brandy...

Re: camp beverage

For me these days it's St. Pauli Girl non alcoholic. Back in the day it was anything yellow or brown and lots of it!! My preference though was Evan Williams single barrel. If I close my eyes I can still taste it.

Re: camp beverage

Were all Straub/Straub Lt drinkers now,but every year we have a cousin that shows up with a mystery bottle, or two of something. Every year its the same story with the mystery bottle. " Wow, thats good, remember what that is" he will say, and we will buy that again.. We dont remember,so today will be another mystery bottle. Good times!. good luck to everyone, and enjoy the good times.

Re: camp beverage

Everyone brings there own beer at our camp, it ranges from Bud to Yuengling. I personally have been a Bud Lite drinker for many years, if I am drinking beer.
Always a few bottles of various whiskey, Rum and Vodka floating around as well.
I prefer Absolute Vodka or Crown and also like Black Velvet.
This year they cooked of a big batch of Apple Pie as well.
