pre-built cabins?

hey guys! looking for some insight on prebuilt cabins. I am looking at cozy cabins and conastoga cabins, anybody have experience with any of these? I also looked into pine creek structures at a 2 story gambrel cabin, were i would just have to run electric and plumbing and finish the inside. any thought or experiences would be great! oh and it will be set on a crawl space.

Re: pre-built cabins?

Don't have any experience with the companies you referenced but I do have experience with KSM Loghomes on 322. They sell kits and have guys that can put them together for you. Might want to check them out as they have 3-4 different designs of cabins that are relatively cheap compared to building a log cabin from scratch..

Just a thought.

Re: pre-built cabins?

I have a Conestoga Vacationer its 16.5x36 with a 6 foot porch. I have had it for 7 years and it the best investment I have ever made. I had them assemble it and I finished all the plumbing and electrical work. I got the roof insulation and the floor and its on piers. I finished the bottom with the faux fieldstone and did the spray on insulation and its so warm that the heat barley runs. I also built a room off the back of the cabin as a utility room for hot water heater circuit panel and well tank as to not take up room in the cabin. Conestoga was very great to work with and very helpful I did one modify one wall through the and took out a window in the living room and added a door in its place to go onto a deck with a fenced in yard. They did a final walk through with me after is was assembled to make sure I was happy. The whole cabin came on a tractor trailer and I unloaded it with a off road forklift and it was very simple to put together. So do be intimidated if you want to go it yourself just didn't have the time i needed and to do it. Good luck hope this help and any questions just shoot me a PM.

Re: pre-built cabins?

Some guys on here have liked "The Shed Guy" in Kane, PA. I don't know if he's too far away from you. He builds cabins, sheds and shabins.

Itís funny until somebody gets hurt, then itís hilarious

Re: pre-built cabins?

I have a Conestoga and have been happy with it. I bought it 10 years ago through Cabelas.
