Re: Bradford County Bear Camp

Very little bear hunting done in the northern most setion of Bradford County, at least around me.
There are bear around here, but not in high numbers. Haven't got one on camera this year despite having cameras set up on travel corridors and on productive oak flats.

I miss my hunting partner

Re: Bradford County Bear Camp

ill be up at my camp in tuscarora...had a good 300 lb bear right under my stand 2 weeks ago while archery hunting...had a smaller bear on camera in the summer, so I know they are out there...seeing one during the season will be another story im sure...hunted bear for 10 years and have not even seen one while trying for one except for in Jersey and I passed shooting him because he was only a small 100lb or so bear.

I agree. They are in and around SGL219 but not in big numbers. Saw lots of scat and beds with hair during the late summer and last winter saw tracks in the snow. We have lots of trail cams out and have yet to get one on camera in 4 years. I get a bear tag just in case I see one during rifle
