Got him on the hill yesterday, not a text book quick kill like it looked to be, but I made the right moves afterwards and got him 5 hours later. Was nice to have the camp to back out too and wait on my help to arrive and just give him time...if i did not have that place i likely would of pressed too early. Full story will be up this weekend somehwere on HPA..likely Spirit cause I tested them yesterday and they came thru.
Heading back over to skin and quarter now..day off and nothing to chase. Get a good wood fire going and just enjoy the day, stuff I don't get to do when I am in serious hunt mode.
10 point 18 inch spread, first buck I have seen from stand this year. Thanks to my son and HPA brother Scott (punkinhead) for coming up to help me find him and get him out.
Just a guide the rest of the PA season, and with a hunting wife and boys that is the role I love the most. Thanks to the buck for following the script. Blessed days in a world gone mad, that is why I hunt. God Bless deer campers!
