Sleeping better at camp

So I took my 9 year old to the cabin this weekend for squirrel hunting, target shooting and just hanging around. As we are driving home, He says to me, " I don't know what it is, but I sleep better at the cabin. This was a great weekend. We need to come up here more often." That is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear. Kids loves it and we are making great memories. This is reinforcement that we made the right decision to buy the cabin.

Re: Sleeping better at camp

You sleep better, eat better, time goes slower and you let what's going on in the world go by. Great time!

I'm so far behind I think I'm in first place.

Thats all part of camp life, now when you got every bed full plus the living room and a couple guys in their trucks with toppers.....Better use earplugs....

Anybody can shoot deer on the farm ground....You earn it in the mountains.......

Re: Sleeping better at camp

I found out us as men are allowed to do things more when kids want to do them. So the fathers win because of the kid wants to go up more and mom will make you go more because of the kid wants to go. Lol.

That is exactly right!!! I'd be in hot water if I was going by myself. Taking the kids makes it ok, which is fine by me. It's also funny that the wife is more willing to tolerate the hunting when I go out with my father -in-law.

Everything is better at camp! It's amazing how much better a simple hamburger tastes at camp.
