Hunt Camp Power - Solar

Has anyone explored using solar for their hunt camp or blind?

Yep, love it. Of course i just run a couple lights off it and charge cameras and phones,etc.. run the radio. Nice to have that is for sure.

Actually bought another setup to get more juice to the back of camp.

Easy, not terribly pricey for the basics, big saver if you consider what an electric bill for a camp runs compared to actual use.

Welcome to HPA by the way.

Re: Hunt Camp Power - Solar

Lets run with this...
Do you have a kit? If so what kit is it?
How many batteries are you charging?
How many watts is your solar panel or panels?
What all are you running off it?
My neighbor has the 45watt kit from HF and he seems to be happy with it. He charges 4 batteries and runs led lights and a radio off of it.
I ask those of you who have knowledge in this topic share it with us who are rookies and have limited money to spend and when we do spend it has to be spent on something solid.
Thanks...

Re: Hunt Camp Power - Solar

So here is what I am debating. Getting two 100W (http://itechworld.com/collections/so...l-kit-100-watt) very lite weight and just mount them or get this very cool 160W foldout (http://itechworld.com/collections/so...l-kit-160-watt) that I can use for tailgating and other stuff. Thoughts?

Thank you for the welcome RB-HPA
