We are looking to revamp our fire ring. When will built it 2 years ago it served our needs. However our fires our getting larger and we have out grown are current setup. Any suggestions or pics from the camps of HPA. I know you can by kits, pavers, stones. We just trying to keep it to a reasonal cost.
We've had a 20" or 22" truck rim fire ring for years, where we have our clan reunions in Potter. It's one of those extra wide ones for a "super single" type truck tire.
Block 'em up off the ground about 6" or so and they'll draw pretty well.
Then someone brought a bigger tractor rim up and used it between their RVs. It's probably 28 or 30 inches and plenty wide (deep).
So now we're gonna swap that for the "tiny" truck rim back in the edge of the woods where folks have gathered around the fire for the past 30 years. The younger members of the clan like the bigger fire. So far only a few of the geezers have grumbled.
Some folks' learnin' curves just look like circles...3A Camp/also hunt 4B
