Excited and Thankful

Does this weather have anyone else on edge? Yesterday was a beautiful day with the sun shining, a slight breeze and some fallen leaves rolling around. I started thinking about fall fishing, scouting out some ground where we will hunt, the smell and feel of the woodstove, picking Bittersweet for my wife and the good times to come with family and friends at camp. It is such a blessing to have a place to go to relax and enjoy family and friends. With the way society is today I am thankful to be able to take my sons to the mountains, hunting and fishing and thankful for our friends there who are so good to us.

Re: Excited and Thankful

Just like this morning, with the cool temps, I'm getting more excited about fall and the seasons. Also, since I work outside, the cooler temperatures are very welcome and a much appreciated break from the heat and humidity.

The game cameras are going out and the "Hit List" for bucks is being made!

Re: Excited and Thankful

Love this weather and fall especially, cool temps, football, and hunting. I'm only 32 but have fond memories of going to camp for my first few archery seasons with the guys, and unfortunately we don't get many people to go for archery these days I still enjoy being able to go to camp with some family during the fall. I also work outside and really don't care for the heat. Was out setting up some stands this weekend in the heat and this is a welcome change.

You know that's right. A person has to get away and enjoy the simple things in life.

Re: Excited and Thankful

Unfortunately our first visit to get camp ready revealed a tree limb through our trailer roof! No telling how long it was raining inside since last visit was buck season. Trailer total loss due to water damage and mold. But my kids seem to be extremely excited to tent camp for the season, and that brought a huge feeling of joy to me right there! Wish us luck!

Sorry to hear the bad news about your place, good luck with everything and you have a good outlook on a bad situation.
