Log Truck Load for Firewood

I've been seeing a lot of camps around logging operations that have had loads of trees dropped off in their yards. Anybody ever get one of these loads? How much wood do you actually get out of it and how much does a load normally run?

In Washington county you can get a truck load for about $450. You'll get a little over 8 cords of wood.

I'm so far behind I think I'm in first place.

$450? Going rate in the northcentral is $750+

Iím a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.

Re: Log Truck Load for Firewood

I should of clarified. I was looking to get one for camp in Elk County. If I could get one at home for $450 though I am also interested in that. I wonder why there is such a difference in price? Seems like there are a lot more logging operations going on up north.

$750 here in Perry county. Still way cheaper than fuel oil.

Alrighty then!

$10 in gas and a chain saw in Sullivan County.

Seriously though what type of wood / logs are you getting by the truck load?

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

Call your local Tree service. I have done it in Glenshaw(house), PA . You would be surprised how cheap it might be.

Think he's looking for fire poles.
This would be a logging truck load.
