Grouse camp??

Does anyone else do it besides me??? Lol or are you like me and make any possible excuse to get away from city life, to spend it in the outdoors with the fellas??I try to get a good one up camp every mid to late oct. Mid august I usually start getting the fever of pumpkin beer, pumpkin coffee, we'll pretty much pumpkin everything fever. Oh, and hunting season!!!!! Favorite time of the year. I'm just starting to get fall fever and a little early this year. Hahha

I'm at Potter Co. camp too, just for grouse. A great time to be there. I've been up in January for grouse too.

Re: Grouse camp??

I spend more time at my cabin hunting grouse and woodcock than I do hunting deer or fishing. I could easily be there for weeks and not get tired of it. Grouse season is about the only time we get guests at our camp anymore also.

Re: Grouse camp??

Best thing I ever did was plant grass seed at my camp. Now even my wife says you better head to camp or that grass is gonna be out of control.

Re: Grouse camp??

We just had a "pre-grouse" camp this past weekend. We had 11 guys and 7 setters and 1 lonely pointer! Running dogs in the morning and evening and some work in between. Cooked out over the fire for every meal and enjoyed a great campfire every night. Cant wait until grouse season
