Leraysville spring water

On 467 north before you get to Leraysville there is a pvc pipe coming out the side of the hill on the side of the road with water alwys running out. I have seen many people filling jugs and barrels there. I assume this is a spring discharge. Does anyone know whether it is drinkable or just for household use?

I don't know about that one. We have several by my camp I stop at to get household water from.

You can get a sawyer water filter pretty cheap then it would be safe to drink
I use a sawyer mini. They are around $20 and will do the job. They also sell bigger models as well.

Waldo, I don't know that one, but use the one on top of Red Rock Mtn On the way into our camp in Bradford County. Its also PVC, so I bet the one by you is drinkable.

Camp life,it don't get much better!

It’s funny until somebody gets hurt, then it’s hilarious

Re: Leraysville spring water

It is a natural spring and I can verify it has never stopped running in 35 years. When I was a kid we would stop at the Amish stand and get some sweet treats and get a few bottles of the water on our way to go fishing in Wyalusing and it tasted fine. A few years ago they replaced the pipe to PVC and added the tire to catch the splashes.

There are always people stopped there filling bottles, not really sure why because we have artesian wells everywhere in the area. I guess because it flows next to a major road and easily accessible.

Re: Leraysville spring water

I grew up less than 2 miles from that spring, drank out of it many times. Lots of people fill drinking water jugs up there.

A haiku is just like a normal American poem, except it doesnt rhyme and is totally stupid.
