susq river..what the heck!

Went to my cabin last nite...Laceyville....river is in awesome shape. This morning I wake up and it is a mess. Check on endless mtn outfitters and it is going to 15 feet in meshoppen....no rain up north...how the heck does this happen! Ticks me off...the fishin is toast for at least a week until it drops again.

Re: susq river..what the heck!

We got over 4" of rain in Sayre area in the past few days. What do you expect? Be thankful it's not flooding.

Re: susq river..what the heck!

I thought it should be going up as well. Terrible storms and serious downpours came through just last night in northern PA and southern NY. Heck, even here in Lancaster we got a ton of rain in a short period of time.

Re: susq river..what the heck!

I live 4 miles west of sayre and haven't gotten a full inch in the last week. The river is up from the rain that fell in the Chemung River valley to the west of us. The rain has been going south, east, north or west of us in large rain shields. We've been on the edge of considerable rainfall, but haven't been centered on any of it.

I miss my hunting partner

Whatever heavy rains up north will make it's way down.
