I've been having a blast at the new cabin on the river!! Started to go out as soon as the ice left and I have been out there just about every weekend since. I have been remodeling the place to make it more of a fishing cottage, but it just doesn't feel much like work out there. Every sunrise and sunset greets deer, fox and coons in the cornfield behind the place and you can sit on the deck during the day and watch eagle, ducks, songbirds, beaver, otter, mink and boats go by among others.
I've been shuttling family and friends, or should I say mainlanders back and forth to the island. I don't really mind the short run to the boat club to pick them up, but you can only fit so many in a 16' bass boat. I think it's time to add a pontoon to the arsenal!
Rise and Shine. Time to pick up the remaining mainlanders!
