Telephone lines in Kettle Creek area

We are looking at a property above the lake (Sugar Camp Rd) and there are phone lines on the utility poles. But I can't find out what company it is. Does anyone know what company it is.

Re: Telephone lines in Kettle Creek area

Hope you have an easier time then me getting a phone though. took me two months and about seven phone calls. Even had one guy on the phone tell me that Verizon doesn't do land lines anymore. Finally I got an operator that new what she was doing and it got done.

Re: Telephone lines in Kettle Creek area

should be some sort of tag on the pole indicating which company. if there aren't go to the nearest main highway and should be tags on those. the tag will have a number on it get the closest one to your camp it will help them determine where you are.

take a kid hunting and fishing it will keep them out of trouble

Verizon.
We are off Sugar Camp Road.
Expect phone service only, no DSL or other service. Dial up inter net and very slow.

Verizon is developing four or five cell towers in the the Kettle Creek Valley. One is located just below the dam, for expected service late this year,.

Re: Telephone lines in Kettle Creek area

Hey Rayb, actually spoke to a Verizon person last night(what a pain to speak to a human). He told me it's not their lines. He said possibly Frontier. The zip code I am using is 17764,but I don't know the area name. The property is off Loop Lane, are you near there. I will try Verizon again. Thanks

Re: Telephone lines in Kettle Creek area

Here is a suggestion----get the pole number,if the pole has ac power on it also, the power company will have a tag on it also, call the phone company and request to speak to the outside plant enginer supervisor and share the info with him or her. They will tell you if the pole belongs to them or the other phone company and who to contact for land line service. hope this helps

Re: Telephone lines in Kettle Creek area

Our camp is on Loop lane. It is most definitely Verizon. When we called to get it they told us it was not Verizons area. Eventually we talked to the correct person and had it installed.

Which property are you looking at?
