Hope you have an easier time then me getting a phone though. took me two months and about seven phone calls. Even had one guy on the phone tell me that Verizon doesn't do land lines anymore. Finally I got an operator that new what she was doing and it got done.
should be some sort of tag on the pole indicating which company. if there aren't go to the nearest main highway and should be tags on those. the tag will have a number on it get the closest one to your camp it will help them determine where you are.
take a kid hunting and fishing it will keep them out of trouble
Hey Rayb, actually spoke to a Verizon person last night(what a pain to speak to a human). He told me it's not their lines. He said possibly Frontier. The zip code I am using is 17764,but I don't know the area name. The property is off Loop Lane, are you near there. I will try Verizon again. Thanks
Here is a suggestion----get the pole number,if the pole has ac power on it also, the power company will have a tag on it also, call the phone company and request to speak to the outside plant enginer supervisor and share the info with him or her. They will tell you if the pole belongs to them or the other phone company and who to contact for land line service. hope this helps
