lake nessmuk

Deer season i saw the water level was real low. Well, it is all drained now. Not much structure in there. I was surprised. There are a few piles of tires that you might want to mark with the gps. Any word when this project will be done. I know Lyman run took a while.

Re: lake nessmuk

its a pa f&b impoundment they felt the dam structure could possibly fail flooding Wellsboro so they drained it and are making repairs should take about a year

Re: lake nessmuk

Finally made it back to camp last week, for the first time since deer season. Go by Nessmuk on the way.

Sure looks funny seeing it drained and I was also suprised to see a total lack of any natural structure in that lakebed. Just a big ol' mudflat now, but the crows seemed to be enjoying it when I came back past there yesterday.

Re: lake nessmuk

No deeper than that lake was, can't really see that it presented much of a threat to that dam?

Yeah it could've made a mess downstream if it breached, due to the volume of water involved, but there wasn't much of a "head" of water bearing against it.
