Re: Tionesta-5 forks restaurant

been closed for years....my buddies camp was way back past hunters station and we used to always stop to eat. haven't been there in probably going on 10 years. i think it was something else for a little while but last time i drove by it was empty.

You want me to put my ear to the ground? Listen for hoof beats? Look for broken twigs?

No. Like muskyman said it's closed. It was last open about 7 years ago and was pretty bad. Now empty. Every once in awhile looks like someone is working on it but no signs. Awesome views from the back decks.

Re: Tionesta-5 forks restaurant

Closed and sold for Sherrif sale last summer. Rumor is that it's going to be converted to a home/camp. It was named River Forks for a while but they closed up too.
Every time a good place to eat gets established near Tionesta, it either closes or gets new management and goes downhill...........

Re: Tionesta-5 forks restaurant

Use to have a great buffet there but then new owners took over and the food went downhill quickly. Real shame as we loved eating on that back deck overlooking the river.

Re: Tionesta-5 forks restaurant

Ate there many times in the 1990s and early 2000's, than the buffet started going downhill. Did many a Sunday drive just to eat at the place. When they have the Biker Blessing at the Church on German Hill, it was awesome to pull into the restaurant and see the whole parking lot filled with expensive bikes and shiny chrome. The place originally was a bar in the early days.

Re: Tionesta-5 forks restaurant

My family and I have stopped a few times in the past,Once we asked if they had a breakfast menu, and they said no.....but we will cook anything you want so we ordered eggs and bacon. Don't remember the year but seemed like real nice folks at the time.
And yes you will not find better view while dining!
