Has anyone installed one of these eco friendly toilets (1gpf or 1.28gpf) at their camp? If so do you have any recommendations? How has it stood up to the freeze of a left camp? Does it do the trick with #2?

Re: Toilet?

All the new toilets are designed for low volume flushes. The old 3 and 5 gallon toilets would clog when reducing the water to flush because the design required lots of water. I am the facilities mgr for a school and the Kohler Wellworth toilets we have work good. Only issue is the sanitary products being flushed, but you shouldn't have that problem. As far as the freeze, you have to drain the tanks and bowl and pour antifreeze in the trap. No toilet will survive a freeze with water in it.

Re: Toilet?

I have one and I had no problems. Flush the toilet and place some antifreeze in there.
