protests illegal, 1st amendment DEAD

http://rt.com/usa/news/348-act-tresspass-buildings-437/

i put this in the political forum but thought it was important enough to place here in case any group was thinking about protesting anti-gun or anti-hunting regs soon.

wont be able to anymore....pass this around, we need to get rid of all of them at election time...NOW.

Re: protests illegal, 1st amendment DEAD

You realize you are using a Russian online "news" journal as your source? Sort of like using the Huff n Post or NY Times.

For sure, parts of the article are accurate. The rest most likely not so much. In Russia, the press is still controlled.

Everyone needs to watch the sources they use.

Is your position a short term gain - or a long term loss? Separate the issues.

Wondered how long it would take, before someone "noted" the source of that one?

There ya go!

On one hand it sounds good. Keeps the nuts from disrupting things for everyone else. But then again, they are usually arrested and cited for the infraction.

Then again, out liberties for peaceable protest is further restricted and it protects those in power from facing the people. Not what our founders intended for sure.

If passed into law look for an immediate court challenge. i suspect portions will be upheld, and other parts rules unconstitutional.

The left is going to go bananas over this one. No protesting many popular causes and people. Then again, the right should have concerns as well. Obama to the Iranian Pres when he hits NYC for the UN "bad mouth USA week". Others as well.

Re: protests illegal, 1st amendment DEAD

thanks for clearing that up, didnt realize the source. the bill however still says:

a building or grounds where the President or other person protected by the Secret Service is or will be temporarily visiting, or (3) a building or grounds so restricted due to a special event of national significance.

that includes hotels, conference centers etc..

how far away can a protester be? i still feel it infringes on the 1st Amendment..time will tell.
