Top Ten Questions for Candidates in 2012 Election

With three KNOWN animal rights activists running in the primary, and with several issues being important to sportsmen and women in PA, please tell me what questions you would like me to put together on a survey for the PA General Election.

The cost of a survey with responses is $200 to $300.

I don't care what side of the issues you are on, this is a way to know if a candidate supports your view as a hunter, an angler and a conservationist.

If I create such a survey, what questions are important to us as a community?

We need the severance tax or a real fee.
The bill they pushed through is showing major cracks. It is weak and a nightmare to interpret and enact.
The least of my worries right now is a PETA member running for office. Corbett is doing grave damage to the state's environment. He needs stopped.

As a hunter, I'd want to know a candidates stand on our Constitutional Rights, hunting, gun control, and on crime.

Would like to know if they can distinguish reality from the social media and how much if any credence they give the latter.

Re: Top Ten Questions for Candidates in 2012 Election

I think they have to be questions that can be rated on a five point scale; or have several choices for answers.

Re: Top Ten Questions for Candidates in 2012 Election

This is where I would start

What are your personal feelings toward hunting in the state of Pa.

A. Support it fully and am a hunter in Pa.
B. Support it but am not a hunter in Pa.
C. Do not support hunting in Pa. at the present time
D. Do not support hunting in Pa. and won't in the future

With the tradition of hunting being so important to the state of Pa. by moneys spent here, the history involved and the recreational aspect of it what would you like to see for the future of hunting in Pa.?

1. More youth involvement
2. Less youth involvement
3. None of the above, please explain

As the only state in the country with a game dept. soley supported by hunting license sales do you feel a hunting license increase across the board is warranted to support the PGC's ongoing mission?

1. Yes
2. No
3. Maybe

Without an increase to license fees to support the PGC's ongoing mission and funds are needed to manage the states wildlife by the dept. put in place to do this where would you pull money from to help the shortfall of funding.

1. Social programs
2. Infrasturcture
3. Education
4. None of the above, please explain

Re: Top Ten Questions for Candidates in 2012 Election

My main concerns are...how are you going to cut spending
Do you have plans for lowering taxes/ allowing me for more take home pay
What are your action plans for lowering energy costs
What is your stance on the second ammendment

I love hunting but when it comes to running the Govt, my most important concern is the need for big brother to have less control and to figure out a way that I take more money home rather than taxing me and spending it for me

Especially when it cost close to $100 to fill my gas tank and $500 a month to heat my house during the winter (thank goodness we had a relatively mild winter)

BUy a Prius.

Build a smaller, more energy efficient home.

Problem solved and it took no government to figger it out.
