You want to be careful what you ask for, all citizens now have the right to petition the PGC on matters pertaining to state game lands. Once they are forced to pay a fee to hike, bird watch, bike etc., they will expect more of a say in how things are run and they will be a lot more demanding than they are at present. The only thing we have to protect game lands from state government allowing things to be done that are counter productive to hunting is the fact that federal PR monies were spent on game lands and under the provisions of recieving federal money it says nothing can be done and no money may be spent to enhance or create anything that is not directly related to hunting.
When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!
You want to see it get worse, charge them a fee and make them more demanding.
Now this is just my observation but personally I don't think it can get much worse. How much worse can it get then me having to abandon good spots because of non hunter interference. Seems like endgame to me.
