All or nothing. Adding just for the youth is a joke. They have enough special seasons already. How about something for the working hunter for once. If a kid isn't interested with all the opportunity now, an extra day won't help.
I understand All reasons for having sunday hunting. But in my opinion its not a good Idea .I feel that if you dont like the deer herd now,Give everyone lets say 10 more days where almost EVERYONE can hunt. what will happen then?I am lucky not to have a deer problem where I hunt, but listening to lots of people on here I think it would worsen thier already Bad situation .Just my opinion. I dont know how they would determine what seasons would be open or closed but it would need to be thought through
I could go either way, but one thing that needs to be taken into account is the amount of ground enrolled in the hunter access program by farmers. ALOT of Farmers ( not everyone) for what ever reason do not want to be bothered on what most consider their day of rest, or people on their property that day. I am not sure why , but i am sure they have their reasons and stick by them. So is the one extra day worth the possibility of loosing alot of farms and other properties?
I wouldn't mind shortened seasons in leiu of sunday hunting. As a hunter living in an Pittsburgh no Sunday hunting sometimes means the difference between going back to camp. Its hard to miss an extra day or two of work. This equals lost wages in a tough economy. Heading to hunt at camp Thursday night maens I get to hunt Friday and Saturday. That hardly makes it worthwhile. So i need to take an extra day off Monday to make it 3 days hunting. Just think if they had a sunday hunt I could hunt 3 straight with out having that extra pressure from wife, kids, work, etc. Just my $.02.
