You must either have a valid hunting license or the permit to use the ranges.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Re: SGL gun range use...........

Went into effect last year, if not mistaken?

Any "word" on how effective it has been? I keep forgetting to ask our WCO when I see him, if he's had any problems at the SGL 230 ranges.

Some folks' learnin' curves just look like circles...3A Camp/also hunt 4B

Re: SGL gun range use...........

The WCO at the range I go to has been busy regarding this issue, as well as the deputies! I see alot less -- going on now at that range than in the past! Used to see lots of out of state users that destroyed everything, ignored all laws concerning the range use, and wouldn't comply with common range procedures. Have seen people load and fire 30 round mags out of ar's, Sks, and the like. 15 rounds out of pistols at 100 yard ranges with no targets placed! I've left the range numerous times because of safety issues! The deputies did a great job trying to keep it under control before the law changed, and do an outstanding job now. It helps there is a full time wco back in the county now as well! This is one law that's really made a difference!!

I hunt deer in 2F, 5c/d. I hunt waterfowl in whatever unit they happen to be in on that day.
