Be careful who you talk to

After the Sunday hunting hearing; a hunter who was opposed and wanted to be heard did every hunter in PA a gross disservice.

He read his statement to three women who promised to give him a platform.

They video taped him as he went on to say the Sunday Hunting bill would kill all of the deer.

Problem comes in as he was talking to HSUS's Sara Speed and her interns.

I tried to explain it to him, and he told me I just want to kill all of the deer.

He was too foolish to even realize what he did after I (and others) tried to explain it to him. What a shame. Watch for him on HSUS web site. I'm sure it will be there in the next few days.

What he did was stupid. He should have seen that he was being used. Maybe he wanted to stop SH no matter what the cost.

His statement about all the deer being killed if SH is allowed, is as bad as some of the economic figures the pro SH groups are putting out as facts.

A lie is a lie no matter the reasoning behind it.

Re: Be careful who you talk to

I imagine everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter how dumb it is. But this type of division is only going to escalate because some decided this is a road (Sunday hunting) they wanted to go down. Pretty much falls into the category "you reap what you sow".

The PGC should have stayed out of the politics of this one and just said "you pass it and we'll deal with it...we have the capabilities".

What makes you think he was a hunter at all, might just of been a plant from HSUS dressed like Elmer Fudd for their own viewing pleasure.
Seems funny they would be so willing to tape a complete stranger with no previous intervention.
But at least you beat them to posting it, great job.

I was there for the hearing, saw him throw papers at the chairman and demand to be heard. He was one of the first people there and Ms. Speed didn't show till later.

They had no connection that I was able to see.

HSUS is very skilled at taking advantage of the unsuspecting.

That a trait that seems very prevalent among those in the political arena.

Like they did with the antlerless tag transfer legislation? Was that bad for hunting because they showed their support? How about the PGC showing thier support for the bill to remove license display? Bad for hunting?

If I remember right, ED Roe said, you pass it(regulatory transfer bill) and we are prepared to handle it.

Bottom line is legislation is passed by legislators. Whether it is good or bad, it lies at thier feet, not anyone elses.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!
