Slobs To be Sentenced

In our local paper,The Times Leader there was an article today about the upcoming sentence of 2 hunters from Turner,Maine.Edward H.Leonard entered a guilty plea to five illegal deer kills and 12 other game law violations, including road hunting, loaded firearms in vehicles, killing deer at night and license violations. The first 4 deer kills are misdemeanors. The fifth and subsequent kills are felonies under the game laws.He faces a maxium of up to several years, plus up to $43,000 in fines and costs and loss of pennsylvania hunting privilege. His son Everett Tyler Leonard,32,entered a plea of guilty to 11 illegal deer kills and 14 other game offenses. He faces a max of up to 24 years plus fines exceeding $100,000 and loss of Pennsylvania hunting privilege. These sentences fall under a new poaching law that increases fines and penalties that was drafted by State Rep.Ed Staback. This complete disregard for wildlife happened in the Troy and Armenia Township areas. It is BUMS like this that give all legal Spotsmen and women a bad name and i only hope the book gets thrown at both of them.I personally wish the game code was even tougher on people like this and hope this sentence will send a warning to others if they are thinking of doing this.Remember, you have been warned because others will turn you in.Have a safe and great hunting season. P.S. This was in Bradford County,Pa.

They will see no or very little jail time.Fines will be less than half.
Thats just my opinion.
I say strip them both down to nothing, put Tink's69 all over them and push them into a big buck inclosure.Just a thought.I regress

Re: Slobs To be Sentenced

There several in my neighborhood that deserve the same, if they are ever caught.

As for Staback, he is the same guy that introduced a bill to declare Llamas, Guinea pigs and hamsters as wild animals and put them under PGC jurisdiction and require Pet stores to get PGC permits.

What the defendant's deserve is obvious, what they get under the PA sentencing guidelines will be interesting.
