"So when you and your children, instead of going on a Sunday hike in the woods, are forced to cower in a place where bullets, buckshot and arrows do not fill the air, think of Orwell's "Animal Farm."

Anyone familiar with this guy?

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

He generally does political columns and he sort of has some twisted humor tossed in most times. But in an odd way he usually makes a point. I think his point in this column is the 92.7 and 7.3 percent thing. The whole issue just stinks of legislators making a backdoor maneuver to avoid political fallout.

Ya think?

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Re: Timing Odd In Sunday Hunting Flap

I've always felt people who hunt with bows and arrows are a lot more sporting and have more class than the Elmer Fudd types who use blunderbusses, or whatever, to try to blast Bugs Bunny into smithereens

I take it the yard bird that wrote this is no sportsmen

Regardless of whether or not people like the article, the percentages and general theme of the article has merit. We as hunters are the minority. Continued fighting within our own ranks serves only to alienate us further from the masses! I say we quit all the debating in a very public forums and let the legiscritters figure it out, one way or another regarding the SH issue.

I hunt deer in 2F, 5c/d. I hunt waterfowl in whatever unit they happen to be in on that day.

That was closer to the truth before crossbows were allowed in archery season. lol

His numbers are probably very close and we risk very much by bringing up an issue that will likely cause more negative sentiments toward hunters and hunting. I wish there were more writers who wrote opposition to SH pieces.
In the end I hope we never have SH in PA.

That's who should be handling it but apparently they want to gift wrap it to avoid the responsibility and fallout of elliminating a blue law.

Blunderbusses? You guys got blunderbusses? Oh man, I knew about the Pennsylvania rifles but had no idea that there could be so many blunderbusses still in use. I want one! I want one! I want one!
