Re: District 7 BOD vacancy

There is no "advisory council" in place currently, that I am aware of?

What there is, amounts to Wolf's advisor for outdoors issues, Robb Miller. It's a start, but not an end. Spoke with Robb on this every issue last weekend.

Many of us hope there will be some movement on setting up an advisory council in the near future, so qualified replacements can be found for openings on wildlife agency commissioner appointments.

Otherwise, these positions will be filled on the recommendations of bureaucrats, instead of interested sportsmen and women.

Re: District 7 BOD vacancy

Yep, he mentioned that. I encouraged them to work a bit faster.

If you read their announcement, it asks interested people to submit an application by a certain date. Ummm, that date isn't very far off and there is no council in place to review such applications.

So, is someone at DCNR being tasked to handle that process? In all fairness, Corbett wasn't in any hurry to seat a council, either. It took him about a year to finally get around to it.
