2020 Fund raising raffle for the PA Conservation history Museum
Below are the photos and the list of items that are in the new raffle to raise funds for the PA Conservation history Museum. To date the Museum Committee has raised approximately $110,000 towards our initial goal of $150.000 to be used on the infra structure of the interior of the Museum. The funds have been raised from 2 raffles, a 5k and 10K run at Middle creek last September, donations and the sale of pavers with the names of supporters or from family members who honored their loved ones by buying a paver in their name. In addition to this raffle we are having another run in September, again called the "Wild Goose Chase with a 10k and a 4 mile run. Raffle tickets will be available at Middle creek Wildlife Management Area visitors center and I can provide some as well for members here, we are going to try to have some available at the 6 regional offices, I will report back on that. The highlights on the ticket are a flintlock long rifle made by Game Commissioner Charlie fox and an Orvis fly rod with a reel already spooled and leader attached in a carrying case donated by Tom Finkbiner at the Slate Run store. The drawing will be on March 7, 2020, ticket holders need not be present to win. The drawing will be held at the Middle creek visitors center during the spring Snow geese migration which is something to see if you have never seen it, it draws visitors from other countries as well as from all over the country. Executive Bryan Burhans is planning on breaking ground on the museum which will be attached to the Middle creek visitors center. Tickets are $10.00 each.
