The Wild Goose Chase was a resounding success
The 5 and 10 K races held today to raise funds for the PA Heritage Wildlife Conservation Museum at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area was better than anticipated for a first time event. We had 140 runners in the races and the races went off without a hitch. I don't know how much money we raised yet between the donations from the race sponsors and the race registration fees but we raised several thousand dollars. We are planning to make this an annual event to continue even after the museum is built to help finance the running it. The runners loved the courses layed out because of the scenery along the way and many said they will come back. I expect the event will be even larger next year.
