OBX-Buxton North Carolina

Last week my wife and I had a good week surf fishing. A couple nice Red Drum and good action from other fish. We caught the normal sea mullet, croaker, blues, pinfish, flounder, and pompano. Can't really expect more with the water temps. Surf Fishing on the Outer Banks is the best reason to get a good sunburn!

Re: OBX-Buxton North Carolina

Glad you a good time at my favorite place on Earth. Was down for a long weekend in August. Fishing wasn't great, but was just happy to be there.

Be glad you're not there now. Can't even walk onto any of the beaches outside of the towns, as the government has shut down all access to all points in the National Park. Even the piers on Rodanthe and Avon are closed as part of the structures are on NPS property (the beach). Avon tried to open over the past weekend, now the manager and owner are being charged for disobeying a federal order to close. It's getting crazy when the government can shut down a privately owned business.

Holy Cheese and Crackers!
