Nice looking boat. Good luck with it. What is the length? I have a 19 ft Robalo. I never thought I would say this but I'm considering selling it. Other than our week vacation down the shore where we have a boat slip, I barley use it anymore.
Its a year 2000 model 1920 center console with a T top similar to yours but w/o the nice electronics you have. A 1999 Merc 150 hp saltwater series. I like the boat/motor and will hold on to it for awhile but its June and I have not used it yet. I've been doing mostly shore fishing the last few years. A lot easier to just put on a swim suit and wading sandals and not worry about towing, ramps, gas etc. Still I enjoy taking family out from time to time and it sits in my yard on a trailer so its not costing me anything.
Actually I knew nothing of that before I searched which was after I picked the name
Story behind the name:
My dad passed away unexpectedly of a stroke on February 2nd of 2019. He was 57. When we were little he always used to tell this story/joke. I don't always remember how it went but the short of it is: There was a lady who was pregnant on a greyhound bus. She ended up going into labor on the bus. The bus driver helped deliver the baby boy and in his honor she named the kid after the bus driver "Nosmo King".
FFWD to the days of the internet and that was my dads screen name for everything. He just thought it was funny. He would introduce himself as Nosmo when he was trying to be funny (mostly when he was having beverages) to people he didn't know.
Usually we put in at Augustine Beach DE for crabbing in Silver run or Bowers beach and fish reef site #3 and #4 or thereabouts. Sometimes we'll trailer down to Lewes and put in there. DE ramps always have good parking. Also their ramps are always well maintained.
I would like to fish southern NJ on the ocean side more but it seems if you aren't at the boat ramp by 6:30am there is no room to park which is frustrating after driving 2+ hours......
I need to find other ramps or even private ramps with adequate spacing with either a yearly or daily fee.
Yeah the DE ramps are good. Used to launch at the DE ramp on Lewes canal and fish canal down past old Lewes Dairy/Coast Guard Station areas out to the bay for flounder. Haven't been there since I started fishing/crabbing in VA. Best of luck with your new boat!
