Shark vs Buck knife

Bonnet head sharks are fairly easy to catch this time of year using shrimp as bait. We catch them from a public pier at Bradenton, Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. They are great fighters and having a ball catching them. The fillets are quite tasty. But it takes a sturdy and sharp knife to remove the fillets since sharkskin is so tough. But no match for my older Buck model 110. This knife has been very useful to me ever since I bought it in 1976.

Does anyone else have fondness for their Buck 110?

Nice!! Have several 110's plus other Buck Knives in my collection. Also enjoy shark fillets...especially breaded/deep fried!!

You bet! Easy to sharpen but I typically use a fillet knife for fish. I like a flexible knife. Now for deer - 110 is still great. You can have all those expensive hard to sharpen knives.

I've posted on here before my Dad gave each of his sons a Buck 110 Hunter when we turned 12. He gave me mine in 1973 and I still use it. My brothers and I have continued the tradition and we have given each of our sons Buck 110 hunters. My kids better get crackin...I'm hoping to give my grand kids one.
