Delaware River striper help needed

I have lived in the Phila area the last 2 years and have tried bank fishing for stripers unsuccessfully in the Delaware River at the airport and at the Fairmont Dam in the Schuykill River. Obviously I am doing something wrong. Would anyone be willing to help me, either info or taking me along?

In the part of the river here by me we fish for stripers at night with 6 to 8 inch trout trolling from a boat.

I have fished in the past near the airport also. Try different baits, bloodworms, chicken livers worked, Go to local tackle shop and see what others are using. We would fish primarily at night.

Check out this site. When they start running there will be a lot of info regarding locations and baits posted on the site.

I have not fished from shore in many years but many guys do and are successful. They use fish finder rigs and blood worms or herring. There may be other baits. They fish for them like catfish. BTW My son caught one on a hot dog while fishing for catfish.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.
