umbrella rigs for flounder?

Anyone ever tried one of these for flounder when drifting in a boat?

I'm sure you could catch them on one. Where i fish for flounder we lose alot of bucktails and teaser rigs. losing umbrella rigs would get costly.

I lose too many bucktails as it is. I would imaging you would lose umbrella rigs even more often. They would work well, but I couldnt afford to use em and lose em.

I use them for trolling stripers or tuna but never for flounder.
What I found that catches fluke when they have lock jaw to most other lures or bait is a viper spoon.
Where I mainly fish flounder is on a reef 10 miles off the shore and we get caught on the wrecks and structure plus there are a lot of fish traps out there. Using an umbrella rig would guarantee snags and lost terminal tackle.

My ability to remember lyrics from songs of the 60's far exceed my ability to remember why I walked into the kitchen

We fish several back bays out of Chinatogue Va. Not a lot of issues with snags, and i assume that we would try to keep it off the bottom.
