It's been a while since I've posted a saltwater fishing report, but I figured this one was special enough to mention. I caught my first grand slam out of OCMD Wednesday into Thursday this week. In total, we released 3 white marlins, 2 blue marlins, killed a sword, released a hammerhead and a blue shark, got one mahi mahi and released a bunch of baby tunas. I was responsible for cranking in pretty much everything except 2 whites and one of the sharks. We were looking for a big eye bite so tried to stay away from the marlins, despite the amazing bite that is going on right now. If we were marlin fishing, there is no doubt our white releases would have been in the double digits. Some of the boats we saw out there had numbers in the 30s or greater. It was pretty rough as well, with a steady 20 knot northeast wind - made for a long night, but thankfully there was action.
