DE river stripers

Would welcome some info on river fishing for stripers. I fished lakes and salt water for stripers but not rivers. Are you using baits? Clams, eels, cut bait? Artificials? Largemouth are easy you just look for the structure where to look for stripers? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Re: DE river stripers

If you are close to Brinkmans bait and tackle in Philly stop in there and they will tell you everything about fishing stripers in the river. My nephews fish the river all the time for them and been using blood worms. Brinkmans also has a fishing report on Fridays on his website that has a lot of striper reports on it. Brinkmans is located real close to the Linden ave boat launch.

I have the delaware for stripers, I just kept my approach simple, cast out the bait as far as I could and wait. I have used bloodworms and also had success with chicken livers, catfish really enjoy the livers also.
