Looking For a Guide

My father-en-law was recently diagnosed Lou Gehrig ’s disease, he is on crutches /not yet in a wheel chair. He has always had a LOVE for steelhead fishing and striper fishing. Since he is no longer be able to walk a stream and no one knows if he’ll be able get out by next season. I’m looking for advice on booking a charter to get him out either steelhead fishing Lake Erie launching from Walnut Creek or a similar area close by since that is where he often fish around. Or I’m looking to booking him a trip striper fishing from Rays Town. I would need a boat with hi sides, but something we can get him in/out of, and large enough so that I could bring a few close family member along for. Any suggestion/leads would be great.

Thanks,

Snapper

Re: Looking For a Guide

Try Buckets Charters out of the Port of Erie in Presque Isle. Come October he will be trolling the mouths of Trout Run, Elk and Walnut for Steel and they always hammer them! He has a 27 foot Sportcraft nestled back in the harbor right at the end of downtown Erie. Definitely worth looking into!

Re: Looking For a Guide

Try Trophy Guide Service out of Raystown. Great guide for stripers, used to have state record.
